Bruno Giacosa – Barolo Riserva – Falletto Vigna Le Rocche

Bruno Giacosa is a renowned Italian winemaker, based in the Piedmont region of Italy. He is renowned for producing some of the finest Barolo wines in the world, and his Barolo Riserva Falletto Vigna Le Rocche is a classic example of the style.

This Barolo Riserva is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Falletto vineyard, located in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks before being aged for a minimum of four years in large oak barrels. The result is a full-bodied, complex wine with aromas of ripe cherries, dried herbs, and spices. On the palate, the wine is rich and concentrated, with flavors of dark fruits, licorice, and tobacco. The tannins are firm and well-integrated, leading to a long, lingering finish.

This Barolo Riserva is a classic example of the style, and is sure to please any fan of Italian wines. It is best enjoyed with food, and pairs well with dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for up to 10 years for further complexity.
